What a lovely afternoon! Its time for a relaxing walk on the beach and jetty!

You had a fun-filled morning and most likely stuffed yourself during lunch. What's there to do next? That's easy... enjoy the beautiful scenery that Plymouth presents you with!

This afternoon stroll is every staycationer's favorite part of their day in the quaint town.
The Plymouth ocean is a breathtaking site. You can easily sit on the beach for the entire afternoon and watch the water come crashing onto the shore.

If you want to be more adventurous, take a walk on the famous jetty and feel like you're a part of the water life in Plymouth. Even better, you can get a fantastic and close-up view of all the boats docked on the harbor.

Phew, it's time for lunch and I'm starving!

That was a lot of sightseeing and history you just took in. It's time to come back to the present!

You got up early in the morning, its lunch time, and you're in a desperate need of an energy boost. There's no need to worry because the waterfront is only a couple blocks away from Pilgrim Hall and has plenty of options for you. But here are the two places that we suggest:

1. Isaac's Restaurant: Isaac's is Plymouth's most popular seafood restaurant. Whether you're a local or a tourist, Isaac's is the place to be. It's perfect for lunch because of the delicious food at an unbelievable rate. Isaac's has everything every New Englander cherishes including fresh lobster, fried clams, New England Clam Chowder, sea scallops, and more! Isaac's accommodates all types of customers as has a bar, fine dining section, and common dining area.

Visit Isaac's website for menu options and pricing: http://isaacsdining.com/

2. Mama Mia's: Mama Mia's is the Staycation Sensation's favorite! This Italian Restaurant is the perfect for the casual diner. Its famous for its pizza and homemade egg noodles. In fact, we personally recommend the Veal Parmesan over egg noodles. Mama Mia's has a rustic feeling to the place as it was transformed from an old house to a local's favorite delight in 1974.

Good Morning! It's time to rise and shine with some history!

Welcome. We're so glad that you decided to consider Plymouth as a place where you can enjoy a perfect day! Is this your first time coming to historic Plymouth, but you have no clue where to start your journey? Don't worry; we have you all covered.

When you think of Plymouth, the first world you usually associate this fantastic place with is history. Plymouth is arguably one of the most important places in American history. In 1620, a group of Europeans, today known as the Pilgrims, established their colony in Plymouth after separating from the Church of England. The Pilgrims wanted to practice their religion in a different manner that was accepted in England, and as a result embarked on a difficult and rigorous journey.

In our town, you will see many different symbols and artifacts which represent the hardships and struggles that the Pilgrims faced.
Come early in the morning to avoid the crowds and lines to the following places:

1. Plymouth Rock: Plymouth Rock is one America's most recognizable landmarks. In 1620, legend has it that the pilgrims landed on this very rock in Provincetown, Massachusetts. After a hundred years, this very rock was moved to Plymouth -- to where the colonists settled -- in order to commemorate their ancestors achievements. Nearly 400 years later, Plymouth Rock still lies on Plymouth Harbor. Guests of the Rock are encouraged to take pictures; however, guests may not touch the rock. Admission is free.

2. Mayflower II: After looking at Plymouth rock, your next stop is just a walk away -- to the Mayflower II. The Mayflower II is a replica ship of what the original Mayflower, the ship that the Pilgrims traveled on from Europe to Massachusetts in 1620, looked like. The replica ship was built in England in 1950 and sailed its way to Plymouth. Mayflower II was opened for the first time to the public in the New England town in 1957 and has since undergone renovation twice since then. The ship is Plymouth's most popular attraction among families. Tours are given frequently throughout the year.

3. Pilgrim Hall Museum: Pilgrim Hall Museum is about a 15 minute walk away from the first two sites, but the walk is certainly worth it! Pilgrim Hall is the oldest museum to be open to the public in Untied States history! Many artifacts from the Pilgrims on the Mayflower and the original English colony are featured in this museum. In addition, Pilgrim Hall has a different exhibit each season! For example, the Summer of 2010's exhibit featured all the food and alcohol the Pilgrims consumed and its importance in how we eat and drink today! What will this season's exhibit be? Come and find out only at Pilgrim Hall!
